ABOUT US
In January 2023, Wendy and Jan van der Meer will be the new owners of La Buena Vida. We have years of experience in providing good service to people and hospitality is of paramount importance to us. Together we stand above a close-knit family,
We are proud parents of 6 children aged 12 to 26 and we are Levi’s grandparents.
Together with our baker Tymo (son 17 years old), who has completed his training as a baker in a top business and has learned to bake bread in the traditional way. He will provide the daily fresh bread and the three of us run this group accommodation. The house is located in Canada del Trigo in the province of Murcia and near the municipality of Pinoso.
We chose this area because of its tranquillity, the beautiful mountains, the friendly locals and because we like campo life. We immediately fell in love with La Buena Vida as soon as we walked through the front door. It just has a special feeling to it. We are Dutch and English and moved around a lot before we found this special place. Our house is not luxurious. It is a traditional Spanish house, and we will keep it that way. You could say that is what makes us different.
We live surrounded by mountains and nature reserves. Walking is something I personally really enjoy. There are many routes available and if you do not feel like looking up your own route, we can organise a guided tour for you. Not only are there many walks and bike rides……..we live in the country of wine! There are so many bodega tours in this region! We are spoilt for choice. Tell us what your expectations are and we will certainly find the best bodegas for you.
Alicante and Murcia are equally approximately 40 minutes’ drive. The nearest town is Pinoso, which is a little less than 10 minutes’ drive. Here you will find plenty of restaurants and shops. Pinoso has become an international little town and has changed a lot during the past 2 years.
